How to Check if Your Phone is Unlocked

Written by Harsh Gupta

Your device must be network unlocked to use an AzadSIM eSIM.

If your phone is locked to a carrier, the eSIM may not activate or connect properly.

🍎 On iPhone

To check if your iPhone is unlocked:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap General

  3. Tap About

  4. Scroll to Carrier Lock

If you see:

  • No SIM restrictions → Your iPhone is unlocked ✅

  • Any other message → Your iPhone may be locked ❌

🤖 On Android

The steps may vary depending on your device.

Samsung

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Connections

  3. Tap Mobile Networks

  4. Insert another SIM card if available

If the phone accepts another network SIM, it is likely unlocked.

Other Android Devices

You can also:

  • Contact your carrier

  • Try another SIM card from a different network

If the new SIM works, your device is unlocked.

⚠️ Common Signs Your Phone Is Locked

  • “SIM Not Supported”

  • “Network Locked”

  • eSIM activation fails

  • No signal after installation

💡 Still Not Sure?

If your eSIM is not activating or your device shows “SIM Not Supported,” your phone may still be carrier locked.

We recommend contacting your mobile provider to confirm your device is fully unlocked for eSIM use and international networks.
